How We Manage Money

Individual Service Funds

An Individual Service Fund (ISF) is a way of showing the real costs of a person's service. It allows the person and/or others to manage their support more effectively.

Funding for a person's service can come from a range of sources; Local Authorities, Supporting People Funding and the Independent Living Fund.

When funding is agreed for a person's support we treat it as the person's money. We believe it is our job to support the person to use their money in the way that makes most sense for them. We create a unique Individual Service Fund (ISF) for each person, which makes it easy to see how their money is being spent.

It is important that the person and those closest to them know how much things really cost.

C-Change agrees with the person the amount of money it will use from their ISF to pay for core costs in the organisation such as training, recruitment and co-ordination.

Any remaining money pays for the direct support the person needs. Money provided for a person stays with that person. If they have money left at the end of the financial year, this can be used to pay for any other activities that they plan.
