10 Year Celebration

Another good workshop today as part of our Remembering Lennox Castle project with Project Ability. Today participants got to view a short film which they helped make during the four workshops which took place back in March. The film included animation and testimonials on the theme of life in the former hospital. The film along with other content produced from this project will be available to the public via a dedicated website which will be launched later this year.

Today was the first workshop in block 2 of our project with Project Ability ‘Remembering Lennox Castle’ taking place at Project Ability’s Base in Trongate 103. The first session was a continuation of work from the previous four workshops as part of block 1 which took place back in March this year. This was to give participants a chance to make final touches to previous art-work. 

Workshops for our project in partnership with Project Ability, ‘Remembering Lennox Castle’ will commence this coming Friday (4th) at Project Ability’s Base (Trongate 103).

LATE for me was more than a club night, it was a moment. To anyone who did not know what LATE was all about, on entering the Arches on the evening of Tuesday 10th of April, coming into the main room they would have thought its a busy club night with a great atmosphere and a very enthusiastic crowd, though it was this it was also so much more than that. 

All of us at C-Change & Dates-n-mates are very pleased to say that club LATE has been a huge success!

We can exclusively reveal that Capital FM radio DJ Garry Spence will be joining us to launch club LATE at The Arches on Tuesday 10th of April. Garry does the Capital FM Drive Time from 4pm weekdays. 

Tomorrow (Friday 23rd) will be the last workshop in March for our project with Project-Ability 'Remembering Lennox Castle'. This will take place between 10am & 12:30pm at Project Ability's base in Trongate 103.

Excellent article in todays Herald Scotland about our upcoming club night ‘LATE’ with dates-n-mates & The Arches. LATE is Scotland’s first inclusive club night aimed at people with learning disabilities (though is open to everyone).

Today was the fourth workshop in March as part of our project with Project Ability ‘Remembering Lennox Castle’. It was a continuation of the theme of this block of workshops which has focused on looking at the physical environment of the former hospital like the forest and hills surrounding the site,  as well as the buildings themselves. This conjures up a feeling of being ‘hidden’, isolated from the outside world. 

'Remembering Lennox Castle' is the working title of a project which is being run by two organisations working with people who have learning disabilities, Ourselves (C-Change) as well as Project Ability (Inclusive arts organisation).
