Quality Checkers

The role of the Quality Checkers is to reflect, talk and share ideas about how we can make sure C-Change is doing a good job, to work out a way of checking this out and making sure it continues to happen in the future. In other words-creating a quality assurance framework for C-Change.

There are a range of key standards and principles to guide any quality assurance system in C-Change. These ensure that we have a C-Change that:

Is always about the person (person centred)

Promotes independence

Really listens to the people it works for

Embraces change

Knows what it is not

Has people in relationships an in communities

Some of the activities that the Quality Checkers engage with in order measure the standard of quality assurance being delivered by C-Change includes:

Interviews with key individuals

Questionnaires

Surveys

Seminars & Conferences

DVD Diaries

Exit Interviews

To ensure that the individuals we work for remain at the centre of everything the organisation does, the Quality Checkers will review existing processes and procedures, such as Training and Auditing. They will in turn provide feedback on their findings, suggesting where improvements can be made.

The C-Change Quality Checkers approach their roles by thinking about the things that C-Change do well and look at things we could do even better. They also look at finding ways to help others have a say so that more people can lead the kind of lives they want to and services can provide what individuals really want.
