The Inclusive Board
C-Change has an inclusive Board of Directors ensuring that the organisation is run by and for the people who use our services.
The work of C-Change is overseen by Board of Directors. One of the significant improvements in the running of the organisation has been recruiting people we work for onto the C-Change Board of Directors. We were supported in this work by an organisation called Heartfelt. The development of the inclusive Board has brought about positive changes in the way that Board meetings are organised and more than that has had a beneficial impact on the way the organisation is run.
The inclusive board should ensure that:
• The views of the people we work for are heard and acted upon.
• Decisions about the organisations finances are consistent with the priorities of the people we work for.
• It is consistent with best practice in terms of accountability to the people we work for.
• It offers a real chance for people to have power and control over important aspects of their lives.
The work of the Board is informed by the views and opinions of the Improvement Council, a forum for the people we work for to discuss and inform C-Change practice.
