A fantastic article in todays (21.02.2012) Herald newspaper of the up-coming project 'Remembering Lennox Castle'. This project is being run by ourselves as well as Project Project-Ability Glasgow and is being launched this Friday (24th) at Project Ability's base in Trongate 103.

Lennox Castle Hospital on the outskirts of Glasgow, at the foot of the Campsie Fells, closed in 2002. This year will mark the 10th anniversary of the closure C-Change and Project Ability, two Glasgow-based organisations who work with people with learning disabilities and mental health issues, have successfully applied to the Heritage Lottery Fund for a project that will mark this anniversary.
"Remembering Lennox Castle Hospital"invites ex-residents to tell their story in their own words. It is an oral history and research project where ex-residents are supported to amass and conserve their memories of Lennox Castle Hospital.
'Remembering Lennox Castle Hospital’ will launch on Friday 24 February with a Consultation Day in Project Ability, 10am - 3.30pm. Ex-residents, families and staff as well as Lennox locals who would like to take part in the project are invited to attend. The biggest dates-n-mates event of the year, the ‘Valentines Ball’ is now only one month away! Taking place at Glasgow City Chambers on Friday 17th of February.
We can exclusively reveal the entertainment on the night will be a band called ‘Solid Gold Seventies’. Solid Gold 70’s authentically recreates an era when the music was as fabulous as the dress sense was outrageous. Brought to you by the producers of Dancing Queen The show, the UK’s number one ABBA Tribute show (as seen at the dates-n-mates Valentines Party 2011!), starring some of the UK’s top singers, musicians and dancers, Solid Gold Seventies will be sure to get you boogieing on the dance floor.
