Andy's Story

Hello, my name is Andrew though I like to be called Andy. I live in my own home in the West Dumbartonshire area. I keep myself busy every day and have a family who all live nearby.
Having a mild learning disability means that I need some support to keep me focused on certain things.
C-Change have been supporting me for around 8 years and I have achieved so much in that time. Things have been difficult at times through the years though the last few years I have needed less and less support as I have other things that occupy my time that I do not require support to do.
I am now a member of the Board of Directors of C-Change. With the other Directors I make decisions about how the organisation works. I represent the organisation at meetings and conference.
I am also a member of the C-Change Improvement Council that makes decisions around organizational policy.
Recently I have been involved in volunteering in 2 different work places one is a organization based in Ibrox. The other is based in Partick they specialize in recycling old items of wooden furniture and sell on to the public.
Looking to future I have other plans, including finding a partner and working more as a consultant, I’ll let you know how it goes.
Cheers Andy.
